At Brain Treatment Center Michigan, patient care is guided by a collaborative team of physicians and neuroscience professionals experienced in EEG-guided neuromodulation.
Every treatment plan is informed by objective brainwave data, detailed clinical history, and physician oversight to ensure care is personalized, appropriate, and medically responsible.
MeRT® (Magnetic e-Resonance Therapy) is a form of EEG-guided repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS). Treatment planning begins with quantitative EEG (qEEG) testing, which evaluates brainwave patterns and connectivity. This data is combined with clinical information and reviewed using a patented analytical methodology developed by Wave Neuroscience®, the innovators of MeRT technology.
Each treatment protocol is individually designed and reviewed by a licensed physician or neurosurgeon before implementation. This process ensures strict adherence to medical standards and alignment with each patient’s unique neurophysiology.

Choosing a neurological treatment can feel overwhelming. Our New Patient Coordinator is available to answer questions, explain the MeRT process, review costs and protocols, and help determine next steps.
Support includes:
Explaining EEG testing and treatment planning
Discussing conditions treated with MeRT
Reviewing scheduling and consultation options
Answering insurance-related questions
Our goal is to ensure you have clear, accurate information so you can make an informed decision about whether MeRT is right for you or your loved one.
Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS), the technology used in the MeRT process, is FDA-cleared to treat Major Depressive Disorder and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Depending on your diagnosis and insurance plan, some coverage may be available for rTMS-based treatment.
Our team can help review potential insurance options and discuss payment considerations. Please note that Medicare and Medicaid do not currently cover MeRT or TMS treatment.
