If you are considering MeRT® Treatment at Brain Treatment Center Michigan, it is natural to have questions about the process, time commitment, and financial investment. Our goal is to make the experience clear and easy to understand so you can make an informed decision about your care.

The resources below explain each step of the process so you know exactly what to expect before starting care.

Quick Overview

For those who want a simple snapshot of the process, here is a brief overview of how treatment works.

Treatment Type

MeRT Treatment (Magnetic e-Resonance Therapy), a personalized form of transcranial magnetic stimulation guided by brain mapping.

Initial Evaluation

You first meet with our functional medicine doctor, then we perform quantitative EEG (qEEG) brain mapping to measure brainwave activity and inform the development of a targeted treatment plan.

Typical Treatment Schedule

Sessions typically last 15-20 minutes, performed five days per week for approximately six weeks.

Monitoring During Treatment

After every 10 treatments, we perform a new qEEG, and you'll meet with the doctor to review progress and adjust the treatment protocol if needed. These meetings are typically done through telehealth for your convenience, but you can always meet in person if you prefer.

Investment

Non-insurance out-of-pocket treatment typically ranges from $8,000–$13,000, depending on insurance coverage and clinical needs.
