If you’re struggling with depression, PTSD with depression, or service-related stress, we’re here to help. Our clinic provides EEG-guided rTMS (MeRT®), a personalized form of rTMS, covered by TRICARE and the VA Community Care Network (VA/CCN) for qualifying patients.
Our team will review your benefits, answer your questions, and help you decide if rTMS is right for you.
“I am a vet who got blown up twice and suffers from PTSD. These sessions have turned my life around. My wife notices the positive changes in my depression, anxiety, irritability, and says I am fun to be around again. I can’t say enough great things about this place. Thank God it exists!” – C.B.
At Brain Treatment Center Michigan, we’re deeply committed to caring for service members, veterans, and military families. We understand the unique stressors of deployment, transition, chronic hypervigilance, and the invisible injuries that can follow years of service.
Here’s why so many in the military community trust us:
We focus on military mental health.
Our team understands the specific challenges faced by active-duty members and veterans, including depression associated with PTSD.
rTMS is non-invasive and medication-free.
Many patients prefer this approach when medications have caused side effects or haven’t provided enough relief.
Personalized care through MeRT (EEG-guided rTMS).
MeRT is simply a tailored form of rTMS. We start with a detailed EEG and qEEG analysis to map your brain’s activity, then customize rTMS treatment settings based on your unique patterns.
A support team who walks with you through every step.
From insurance verification to treatment planning, we make the process clear and manageable.
rTMS uses gentle magnetic pulses to stimulate underactive areas of the brain associated with mood, motivation, emotional balance, and sleep.
With consistent treatment, patients often experience:
Improved mood and emotional stability
Reduced depressive symptoms
Less anxiety and irritability
Better sleep quality
Clearer thinking and improved daily functioning
Because we use EEG-guided rTMS (MeRT), your treatment plan is tailored to your individual brain rhythms—helping ensure a more precise, data-driven approach.
TRICARE is available to the beneficiaries in any of the eight uniformed services: US Army, US Navy, US Air Force, US Space Force, US Marine Corps, US Coast Guard, Commissioned Corps of the US Public Health Service, and the Commissioned Corps of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
TRICARE-eligible beneficiaries may include active duty service members (ADSM) and their families, retired service members and their families, National Guard and Reserve members and their families, survivors, certain former spouses, and others.
We proudly accept:
TRICARE for Life
We are a participating provider in the VA Community Care Network (VA/CCN)
TRICARE may cover rTMS treatment for:
Major Depressive Disorder
Treatment-resistant depression
Depression associated with PTSD
If you are a veteran receiving care through the VA, you may be eligible for treatment at our clinic through the VA Community Care Network with a referral or authorization.
Our New Patient Coordinator will verify your TRICARE benefits, guide you through the VA/CCN process if applicable, and handle all necessary paperwork so you can focus fully on healing.
While rTMS is FDA-cleared for depression, MeRT takes a personalized approach by using your brain’s own EEG patterns to guide treatment settings.
Here’s what makes MeRT unique:
A comprehensive qEEG analysis identifies irregular brainwave activity.
We tailor your rTMS treatment plan to your individual brain patterns.
Treatment is still rTMS, delivered at settings designed for your brain.
This can be especially helpful for people with complex cases, long-standing depression, or trauma-related challenges.
“With being diagnosed with PTSD, depression, and anxiety by the Veterans Affairs, the calm and welcoming environment is important. The treatment makes me sleep longer and more deeply than before. My ‘dark feelings’ fade away. I feel happy and calm.” – S.K.
We understand that choosing a treatment for depression can feel overwhelming. Whether you’re exploring standard rTMS or our individualized approach using EEG-guided rTMS (MeRT), our goal is to make everything clear and easy to navigate.
Many patients have experienced meaningful improvements with this personalized approach, including better mood, better sleep, and greater emotional stability. If you’d like to learn more, we’re here to help you make an informed decision.
